1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for payments made within the Money War mobile and web applications (the "App"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the App generally.

2. General policy: payments are final

All payments made within Money War — including leaderboard payments and the one-time Premium upgrade — are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or by the refund policies of the payment provider that processed your payment (Apple or Paddle — see Sections 4 and 5). This is stated clearly in the App before you confirm any payment.

3. Why payments aren't refundable

A leaderboard payment immediately and permanently increases your position on a shared, public ranking — the moment it's applied, it affects the standing of every other user on that leaderboard, not just your own account. Because the core feature you're paying for is delivered instantly and its effect on the leaderboard can't be undone without affecting other users' rankings, we're not able to offer refunds once a payment has been applied, other than where a provider's own policy or applicable law requires it.

Premium is a one-time purchase that unlocks profile customization features (custom username, avatar, and description) — these features are activated immediately on payment and made available for your continued use.

4. Requesting a refund — iOS

On iOS, all payments are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for these payments directly — Apple handles all billing, refund eligibility, and processing. To request a refund for an iOS purchase, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, or request a refund directly through your device: Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, find the transaction, and follow Apple's refund request flow.

5. Requesting a refund — Android and Web

On Android and Web, all payments are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles billing and refund processing on our behalf. To request a refund, contact Paddle support directly, or reach out to us at the email address in Section 8 and we'll help route your request to Paddle.

6. Legal exceptions

Where applicable consumer protection law grants you a non-waivable right to a refund or cooling-off period that this policy doesn't otherwise account for, that law takes precedence over this policy. Apple's and Paddle's own refund processes (Sections 4 and 5) are generally the correct channel for these requests, since they hold and process the actual payment.

7. Unauthorized or accidental payments

If you believe a payment was made without your authorization (for example, by another person using your device or account without permission), contact us as soon as possible at the email address in Section 8. While such payments remain subject to Apple's or Paddle's standard refund processes, we take unauthorized-use reports seriously and will assist however we can — including account-level review — even though the underlying payment itself is handled by the payment provider, not by us directly.

8. Contact us

Questions about this Refund Policy, or help routing a refund request, can be sent to office@moneywar.app.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you within the App or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect.
